By this point, you're either in college already or just about to head out. If you're already there, save this list for winter break. But if you're still at home, take some time off to do the following things:
1. Visit your favorite local restaurant
One of the hardest parts about living away from home is not having your favorite restaurant near you anymore. Take these remaining days to pig out at your favorite spot before moving out.
2. One last adventure with the friends
This is probably the last time you’ll all be in the same place at the same time, with collectively nothing to do, so make it count! Round up the squad and go on an adventure that you can brag about to your college friends once school starts back up.
3. Go on a drive around town
This is a little cheesy, but sometimes it’s nice to just drive around town and get a good look at everything before you leave. Even if it is the most boring town in the world, you’re gonna miss it.
4. Hang out with your parents
It might be okay at first, but you’re most likely going to miss them like crazy once you’ve settled in. Hang out with your parent(s) before they start converting your room into an office.
5. Go to the beach
With the beginning of college cutting right into prime beach time, it’s almost vital that you spare a day (or more) for your favorite beach.
6. Take and print a bunch of pictures
Steal pictures from Facebook. Take embarrassing selfies with everyone. Go to the photo booth at your mall with at least 20 people. Just do anything to make sure you have a bunch of pictures to decorate your room with. They look great and make some of that nasty homesickness go away.
7. Be lazy
This is your last stress-free break until December. Be lazier than you have ever been in your life.
8. Drive by your high school and laugh at it
Save this one for last - or incorporate it into your drive around town - but make sure it happens. Give your old prison one hearty laugh of freedom (and maybe give it the finger) before driving off into the sunset. You’ve earned it.
