Here we are, the day before Halloween and you're in need of a costume. Maybe you just didn't think about it until today. Maybe you thought you were going to be in a group costume that fell through. Maybe the stuff that you ordered from Amazon specifically for Halloween isn't here yet.

But the point is, you're looking for a costume you can throw together really quickly and easily. Fortunately for you, I've got a few ideas for some last-minute costumes that you can throw together with stuff from your closet.

1. Billy Ray Cyrus

This one is easy and can be hilarious if you do it right. You need jeans, a flannel (preferably one with red in it), boots (either duck, work, or cowboy), and a baseball cap. If you really want to sell it, you can either get a mullet wig or, if your hair is long enough, tuck it into your baseball cap to make it look like a mullet. Complete your aesthetic with an over the top country accent.

2. A kindergartener

You'll need a shirt that is either solid or striped, jean shorts (or jeans if it's really cold), tennis shoes, pigtails (if you've got long enough hair), a juice box, a childhood snack of your choice, and a teddy bear. Bonus points if one of your friends will be your teacher or your mom.

3. Luke from 'Gilmore Girls'

Everyone has jeans, a solid colored t-shirt, and a flannel. Just opt for dark colors. Finish it off with a backward blue baseball cap.

4. Greek Life

You can either dress up as frat boys and srat girls or you can go a little more literal and tie on a toga (optional Vineyard Vines whale on the back to go for the pun).

5. A greaser

Black pants, white shirt, short red scarf, black boots, black leather jacket. While this one might be a little harder to find in your average closet, it's a clutch costume and one that you can get all of the pieces for at Target.

6. A librarian

Put on your best "sweater with elbow patches" look! Bonus points if you go around shushing people!

7. A tacky tourist

Tacky tourist is pretty open-ended as far as what you actually wear. I did socks and sandals, a Hawaiian shirt over an "I Heart NY" shirt, shorts, a huge bag, and mickey mouse ears. It's really completely up to you!

8. A serial killer

Put on whatever you want. Serial killers look like everyone else.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
