This one's for the girls who get a lot of backlash for wearing a "cake face."

1. “Guys dont like girls who wear a lot of makeup."

Why would I care what a guy thinks when he can't tell the difference between a pale nude or a peachy nude lipstick?

2. “Why do you need so many eye shadow palettes? Isn't one enough?"

Would you wear the same outfit you wear to class to the club? Well, I hope not. Same thing, I need several day time and night time pallets. I need options.

3. “You look like a clown with all that on your face. Every try a natural look?"

Nope.

4. “You spend an hour and a half doing your makeup?! Who has time for that? It takes me tops twenty minutes to get ready."

Doing my makeup is my me time. Some people read, take a bath, or go to the gym, but for me, it's doing my makeup. Over an hour of just complete peace and happiness.

5. “You probably have horrible skin because of makeup, maybe you just shouldn't wear it anymore."

That's definitely not the reason. Uh, well, on second thought…

6. "What's that sparkly thing on your face?"

Oh, you mean Jeffree Stars' Ice Cold Highlighter? Yeah, pretty magical isn't it.

7. "I could never spend that much money on makeup. I just get all mine at CVS."

Me:

8. "You look so pretty without it!"

I know that, but what's so wrong with being a better version of yourself? I'll wait.

If a girl wants to sit and do her makeup for seven hours, let her. If a girl wants to wear a full face on a Tuesday at 2pm, let her. If a girl wants to wear makeup, LET HER. End. Of. Story.

Now, excuse me while I go do a kickass cut crease with winged liner.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
