8 Fun Things You Can Do Now That it is Fall
Alex Feehan

Fall is my favorite time of the year. The season is the perfect balance of summer and winter. I love the breezy weather, the falling leaves, the bundling up and so much more! Every year I cannot wait for fall to come around and here are eight reasons why!

1. Pumpkin picking

It’s always so much fun to go to a pumpkin patch with your best friends and have fun picking out pumpkins to ultimately take home with you!

2. Corn Mazes

The place that you went to go pumpkin picking with your friends might have a corn maze too and you will have tons of fun trying to find your way out of it, live snapchatting the whole way. Try not to get lost for two hours like we did though!

3. Pumpkin carving

It’s also a lot of fun to carve them pumpkins, they can be extravagant like this one or you could even just carve a simple smiley face!

4. Pumpkin flavored everything

Who doesn’t love pumpkin flavored muffins, cakes, pie, lattes, coffee, donuts etc.? The list goes on and on and you just have to indulge in your favorite pumpkin treat! By the end of fall you’re usually sick of pumpkin flavored everything, but that’s okay you have a whole year to want the treats again!

5. Sweater weather and boots

I know I love when I can finally throw on a sweater and boots without feeling uncomfortably hot. Oversized sweaters are the best on a breezy day and they make you look cute too!

6. Bundling up with a sweater, tea, and a good book

This kind of weather can often make you want to stay indoors bundled up in a blanket, with a nice cup of tea, reading your favorite book. It sounds like the perfect day to me!

7. Actually getting to sleep with a blanket

Finally, it is not 90 degrees in your room and you actually get to sleep with a blanket without having your fan on high. It’s amazing to not wake up feeling overheated!

8. Celebrate Halloween

Last but not least, the holiday that everybody looks forward to when fall comes around. You get to pretend to be someone else for a day and make amazing memories with your friends, what could be better?

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
