As we all know this past Sunday, February 28th, the 88th annual Academy Awards were televised on ABC. This year the iconic show was hosted by the very funny, and very talented, Chris Rock. It was also the first year in which Leonardo DiCaprio received an Academy Award, and for Best Actor no less! All eyes, however, were on the extravagant dresses and gowns that strolled the red carpet upon arrival at the Oscars. Here is a list of eight female celebrities that had ensembles so perfect, they slayed the 88th Academy Awards.

1. Kate Hudson

Although it wasn’t the red carpet, Kate Hudson’s metallic dress was goals for the perfect after-party dress. Upon arriving at Vanity Fair’s Oscars After-Party Bash, Kate Hudson stole the show with her perfectly done tucked-backed hairstyle to match a perfectly chosen gown. With Hudson’s gown being a jewel itself, the actress chose to include minimal accessories. A clutch and simple pair of earrings made Hudson’s ensemble appear effortless.

2. Charlize Theron

This flawless Dior beauty made us all jealous when she made her arrival on the red carpet. The dress, the necklace, the hair, everything was perfectly picked. Not many people can pull of a strappy, deep V neckline like Charlize Theron can.

3. Rachel McAdams

Rachel McAdams 2016 Oscars gown was certainly one that made everyone around her green with envy! Simple elegance has never been better accomplished, than in this ensemble. I am not sure who Rachel McAdams stylist is, but I wish she or he were mine! And can we just talk about those gorgeous earrings!

4. Cate Blanchett

Making a bold decision to wear a very textured gown to the 88th Academy Awards, Cate Blanchett looked gorgeous! Some people criticized the actress’s decision to wear such a different gown, but Blanchett certainly rocked it! The pale blue/green ensemble complimented Blanchett’s pale skin tone and created a perfect silhouette. Blanchett may have been an evil stepmother in "Cinderella" (2015), but this gown is nothing but sweet and elegant.

5. Olivia Munn

Everyone knows Olivia Munn is flawless already, and this Oscars dress just proves our point. Her choice of an orange gown perfectly complimented her skin and her hairdo was so casual but so pretty. And honestly, who else could pull off orange lipstick?

6. Saorise Ronan

Who knew sequins could look so perfect? Saorise Ronan graced the read carpet in this perfectly tailored green gown. The green worked perfect for her skin tone and matched her minimal makeup great!

7. Jennifer Garner

I simply have one word to describe Jennifer Garner’s Oscar gown: gorgeous! The material, down to the beading, every detail perfectly combined to make a fantastic gown. Black has never looked better on the red carpet.

8. Taylor Swift

Although T-Swift chose to wear this gown to the Oscars after party, I wish she rocked it down the red carpet. There is no other way to describe the pop-stars ensemble than fierce! Taylor Swift looks so elegant in this ensemble with the very deep neckline and open leg. In fact, I don’t think I have ever loved a dress more. Taylor Swift the singer? More like Taylor Swift the supermodel.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
