For a lot of people, middle school was a weird time. It was a time of self discovery, a time of figuring out who you are. A lot of the time, this journey to self discovery involved a lot of teenage angst, and what better way to fuel that angst than to listen to equally angsty music?

Here are some songs that will definitely take you back to that "emo" stage of your life!

Alive With the Glory of Love by Say Anything

I remember watching this video when it first came out, and it was thanks to this video that I've set high expectations for my future lover to chase me like the boy chased this girl.

The Taste of Ink by The Used

The Used had its many hits (See: The Bird and the Worm) but none quite like this one. The chorus is perfect to belt out in the shower, which is something that I may or may not have done.

It's the perfect song for your angsty dance party!
