Being in college now, I’ve learned how hard it is to budget your money. How much is okay to spend on clothes or food or going out on weekends? I learned that sometimes dinner just isn’t an option when you have $13 in your bank account and that snacks can really be your saving grace. So, I decided to make a list of the best snacks for when you’re flat broke and in need of some junk food.
1. Goldfish
There isn’t anything not to love about Goldfish. You can never just have one either, so soon enough you’ve binge watched an entire season of "Grey’s" and you’ve finished the entire bag of Goldfish! Congrats!
2. Oreos
One will quickly turn into two, and two turns into an entire sleeve, you get the point. But they are beyond perfect for a drunken snack.
3. Microwaveable Popcorn
I could eat popcorn everyday. Well, I do eat popcorn every day. I’ve tricked myself into believing it’s not bad for me. (It wouldn’t be if I didn’t get the movie theatre butter kind.)
4. Fruit snacks
These are the healthiest things on the list, but once again I take it to the next level and buy Welch’s Fruit Snacks and eat 10 little bags. They’re just so good though, yanno?
5. Lay’s Potato Chips
Another great drunken snack, and another one of those things you definitely cannot just have one of! Go big or go home, right?
6. Any kind of cereal
I prefer dry cereal, specifically Cheerios, but if you’re into soggy cereal then get some milk and you’ve got yourself a nice little dinner.
7. Granola bars
Perfect for when you decided to sleep an extra 15 minutes and forego breakfast and a shower! Any granola bar is great to take on the road when you’re in a hurry.
8. Peanut butter
You can literally eat peanut butter with almost anything. Bread, pretzels, apples, and you can even just stick your whole hand in the jar if you’re about it. To each their own.
