1. Hanging Lake in Glenwood Springs
This trail is a perfect getaway with a breathtaking waterfall and crystal clear lake at the top. It is never a disappointment! The hike is moderate difficulty and about 3.2 miles long.
2. Booth Falls in Vail
This hike is 4 miles round trip and takes you to a beautiful waterfall as well. This hike has meadows, woods, and wildflowers. It is one that should not be missed!
3. Chautauqua in Boulder
The Flatirons are the iconic part of Boulder and as fun as it is to loo at them, it is even more fun to hike them! Chautauqua has many different routes up to the top and the views from the top of the Flatirons is even more amazing than the view at the bottom! This hike is about 3.9 miles round trip and moderately difficult.
4. Rocky Mountain National Park
This park has a total of 355 miles of hiking trails. One of the favorites is Adams Falls which is an easier hike that is 1 mile long. The views and experience are well worth it!
5. Maroon Bells in Aspen
This hike is absolutely stunning any time of the year. There is a bus that takes people to the bottom of the mountains to a reflective lake but there is also hiking options. It is about a 7 mile hike that is a moderate level of difficulty. Whether you are hiking or admiring, the Maroon Bells are a must see.
6. Crater Lake in Aspen
This hike is breathtaking and absolutely picturesque. It is 3.4 miles long with moderate difficulty. This is near the Maroon Bells, but equally as appealing.
7. Mount Elbert in Leadville
This is a 14er and is much more difficult than your average hike. It is 9 miles long and hikers gain 4700 feet of altitude. The views from the top are unreal and look like something out of a magazine. If you are capable, this hike is a must.
8. Garden Of The Gods in Colorado Springs
Palmer Trail is a great hike here. It is a 3 mile long hike with moderate difficulty. The terrain is rocky and more like a desert which in unlike many Colorado hikes. This unique hike is a good one to experience.
