For those of you who have experienced 8 a.m. classes, or getting up at the butt crack of dawn, I am so sorry for your loss—of sleep. The constant struggle is debating whether or not you should get up and look like a human or if you should continue your streak of looking like a scrub. This debate happens every night while deciding what time to set your alarm and continues every morning when deciding how many times you can snooze your alarm before you have to literally roll out of your bed and sprint to class.
For those of you who struggle through this battle, read this list and see if you’re picking up what I’m throwing down.
1. Night before: I am going to get up at 6:30 and shower and make myself look so good for class.
2. *6:30 alarm goes off.*
3. *6:45 alarm goes off.*
4. *7:00 alarm goes off.*
5. See on a good day, I would get up and proceed to get ready to leave by 7:45.
6. But on most other days… *7:15 alarm goes off.*
7. "I’ll just snooze it one more time."
8. "I love my mattress."
9. "I love my comforter."
10. "I love everything about life right now."
11. *7:30 alarm goes off.*
12. "Okay I am going to be real late for class if I don’t get up right now."
13. *Proceeds to climb down ladder without falling, yes I know it is beyond me how I do it.*
14. *Looks at self in the mirror.*
15. *Begins wishing I wouldn’t have looked at self in the mirror.*
16. *Starts throwing anything on my face that can help it look like a normal face.*
17. *Seriously debates whether or not to wear slippers to class, and then realizes I don’t need that judgement in my life.*
18. *Decides to wear leggings… again.*
19. *Makes coffee as fast as humanly possible.*
20. *Packs backpack because why would I do that they night before?*
21. *Finally, leaves for class, sprinting to make it on time.*
