Twenty eighteen is here! Scary, I know. But with every new year, it's time to set goals for the new year. I've thought a lot about what I want to accomplish this year since 2017 was such a bumpy year for me.
1. Post more on social media
I honestly suck at posting on social media. I go months without updating my Instagram for example. This year I want to start updating social media more. Not excessively or anything like that. Just to keep people more up to date on what's going on in my life.
2. Exercise
This past semester I kept saying I was going to start an exercise routine. It never happens. I want to start working out more this coming year to stay in shape.
3. Start journaling
Journaling is a great way to express yourself. I had to keep a journal for one of my classes this past semester and it was actually really helpful. I want to keep that up this year. Maybe it'll help me figure myself out more.
4. Be more confident and take some chances
I've lacked confidence for a very long time. I've always kind of played life safe and stayed in my box. This year that's going to change. I don't want to be afraid of going out of my comfort zone anymore.
5. Get organized
My life's kind of a mess right now. I am nowhere near the organized person I want to be. It's time to actually be able to find stuff in my life with ease.
6. Learn to bake
I've always been fascinated with watching baking shows, but I've never baked anything myself. Thanks to some lovely gifts from my co-workers, I now have a bunch of baking equipment. So, I have no excuse not to learn now.
7. Write more
I adore writing, creatively that is. I realized I don't do that as much as I want to be. I want to carve out more time for my own writing project. Can't really finish my first novel if I don't write.
8. Start meditation
Mediation is something I've been interested in for awhile, but haven't actively tried. I started making a meditation playlist. This year I will learn to meditate as a way to relax and reduce my stress.
