There are so many different words in every language, so it's unlikely that you have heard them all. Here's a list of beautiful words that aren't as popular in our everyday speaking.
1. Enouement
Have you ever been in a situation where you're worried out of your mind for the future, but then the future comes and you can finally be relieved of the situation? All you want to do is go back into the past and tell yourself that it'll all work out or whatever the outcome is? Except you can't, because well, time travel may or may not be real and so you get a little frustrated. This is what the French call enouement. It's the emotion in which you finally see the outcome of the future and you have the feeling of bittersweetness since you can't go back in time and tell your past self.
2. Halcyon
Halcyon is the act of being happy and nonchalant, or care-free.
3. Kenopsia
This word is a little eerie, but still relevant. It is the feeling of being in a place and instead of there being the usual flow of people, the atmosphere is unusually quiet and empty. So, it's kind of like the atmosphere you feel when walking into a ghost town.
4. Chrysalism
This is the feeling of being at peace while being inside as a thunderstorm takes place.
5. Onism
Have you ever wanted to be more than just you? I know that sounds weird, and I don't mean wanting to be two people, like Hannah Montana. Onism means wanting to live more than one life at the same time and getting frustrated when unable to do so.
6. Opia
Talking to someone and making the awkward eye contact for too long is the worst. In fact, sometimes it makes me feel vulnerable when making this eye contact, which is exactly what opia means. It is when another person is looking intensely into your eyes and you feel vulnerable or invaded.
7. Sonder
I have a life and you do to. Well, maybe. When walking down the street, you're likely to pass at least one other person, if not many. Sonder means to realize that while you have your own life, everyone that you pass has a life as well that may be as wild or simple as your own.
