1. The foliage NEVER fails to impress.
For 2 out of the 3 and a half months that we are here for first semester we get to walk around every day with a beautiful view! The scenery of colorful leaves falling from the gazillion trees we have is something that people from out of town come to see. Sounds a bit ridiculous, but it is one of the many amazing things about fall that we at UNH take for granted.
2. The outfits worn around OUR campus vs other campuses.
Vests, sweaters, flannels, leggings, boots! Yes, people everywhere wear these various types of clothing. But NO ONE wears any of it better than UNH students. Check out 90% of students Instagram's and see for yourself.
3. THE event of the semester: Homecoming!!!!!
Although homecoming is dead and gone, it was everything UNH students wanted it to be and more! What more could you want on a beautiful fall day other than drinking, friends, food and football?
4. Apple picking dates right down the road.
What's more convenient than an apple orchard 10 minutes away from campus? You can pick some delicious apples, buy my favorite apple cider donuts and of course take some cute Instagram worthy pics!
5. Sweater weather (calm) before the storm (blizzards).
The fall weather might not be as warm as a sunny summer day, but it sure beats the cold and snowy ones in the winter! Comfy sweaters don't seem so bad until you have to put on a 5 foot long parka in order to walk to class.
6. THE HUT
There's nothing like rolling out of bed, hungover and driving to the hut on a gorgeous fall morning. What's even better is the drive home, on this nice day, with a pumpkin coffee (assuming that was one of the flavors that day) and jamming out to music with the windows down.
7. Day drinks with your boyfriend (jeans) and BFF's.
And after you've had your Hut fix to cure the hangover you're ready to enjoy the beautiful day with your best friends, cute and comfy boyfriend jeans and last but not least your favorite choice of alcohol! Fall doesn't last forever so these are a few ways we UNH students make the best of it!
