Although the current weather doesn't hint at it, Spring is around the corner believe it or not. Spring symbolizes a new beginning. A new beginning would require you to do some work: to be honest to yourself and to others. You don't want to be full of regret, wondering "what if?" Here are some of the advice I give to my friends.

1. Write a poem

If you're a poet, go ahead and list the things you love most about the person you're planning to write a poem for. Don't worry, it doesn't have to rhyme. As long as it's honest to your feelings and puts your feelings into words really well--it's good to go!

2. Make/Show a funny meme

What's a better way to confess? Memes can either win hearts or lose them. Use your punny skills to create a meme that will make your crush laugh.

3. Sing them a sweet song

As long as it's not "Perfect", you're good. I'd say sing him/her one of their favorite songs, or something underrated but interesting to make them feel more special.

4. Share your Netflix with them

Anyone who shares their Netflix account with you is in love with you. Period.

5. Write a fanfiction for them

and ship yourself with them. Or keep both characters single so that a future love affair can be implied. Here comes the hard part: send them the fanfic!

6. Try a lyric prank with them

If you're afraid your crush won't like you back, try sending the lyrics of an obvious song like "I think I'm in Love" by Kat Dahlia while texting them. If rejected, you can just say that you were pranking THEM. If it goes well, congrats!

7. Tell them

If your friendship with this person is important, do let them know beforehand that you wouldn't want any strain in the friendship if feelings aren't reciprocated. A true friend wouldn't hold that against you, instead they would understand and not judge.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
