1. Through Languages Spoken All Over the World

Large? Thats Latin. Casa? Definitely Latin. Cheese? Yup, Still Latin.

2. Through the Scientific Field and its Studies

The roots of countless words are not only used everyday within experiments and studies, it spans from medicine to botany. From middle school classrooms to professional labratories.

3. Through Law

This is quite obvious, quid pro quo and all that.

4.Through Tests Such as the SAT, ACT and GRE

While it may seem like unnecessary language to learn, students who studied Latin overall score better on tests than their non-Latin counterparts.

5.Through Books

Said best by Thomas Jefferson, “To read the Latin and Greek authors in their original is a sublime luxury. I thank on my knees him who directed my early education for having in my possession this rich source of delight."

6. Through History

Winding its way through many languages throughout history, the languages connections can be traced from Dutch to Malay, Old English to Sanksrit. A comprehension of a language which stems so far can only lead for a better understanding of the history itself.

7. Through Graffiti

Even ancient Romans enjoyed a little vandalism now and again.

All in all, while the language is long dead and could be considering unnecessary, the Latin language actually holds an important place in society and everyday life.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.
