7 Types Of Girls On Snapchat Stories
Snapchat

Oh, Snapchat. It's just one of many social media apps. Like the other apps, it lets you post pictures and videos for all of your followers to see. Unlike the other apps, these pictures and videos go away in 24 hours without having to push a "delete" button. I think it is mostly because of this that Snapchat stories get a little more crazy and interesting than posts on other sites. While watching a variety of stories play out on my phone, I have realized that there are different types of girls on Snapchat. I myself am guilty of some of these.

1. The partier

This girl is at a bar almost every night, surrounded by people, dancing the night away. Usually, it's innocent fun that turns into wild intoxication as the time gets later and later. When she's not at a bar, she's at a concert. You feel like this concert is taking place in your bedroom as she posts at least 20 video clips of this event. Usually, it's an artist you don't care for and/or have never even heard of. This girl makes you feel like you have no social life, and you wonder how she could possibly be getting through college classes.

2. The studier

This girl is the opposite of the partier. She tells you how she's getting through her college classes. It's pictures of a library, books, a Quizlet set... usually with a captain along the lines of "Look at all of the stuff I have to do" or "Gonna be up all night." She never forgets to use the clock filter to emphasize the fact that it is sometime past midnight.

3. The foodie

This is pretty self-explanatory. This girl takes pictures of a meal she is about to dig into with a caption that details her excitement. There are two types of foodies: the health nut and the junkie. You envy the willpower of the health nuts, but you envy the actual food choice of the junkies. These posts annoy you because all it does is make you hungry.

4. The sneak

This girl is almost never in her own videos; someone else is in the spotlight... unknowingly. Usually, this person is caught right in the middle of doing something awkward: eating, singing, dancing, etc. The video always end with said person saying something along the lines of, "Oh, my gosh," "Are you filming me?" or "Stop!"

5. The pet

The dog filter has become a permanent fixture on Snapchat. This girl loves the dog filter. She is always alone and silent, only opening her mouth so that the dog's tongue will stick out. Her eyes, not her mouth, provides the message of this video: "Look at how cute I am." The new cat filter has only added onto these posts.

6. The face-swapper

Like the dog filter, the face-swap filter has become a permanent fixture on Snapchat. This girl usually has a lot of friends to trade faces with. When she finally runs out of people, she turns to pictures, appliances and even food. It is weird to see how some people's faces actually mesh well together and how others completely terrify you.

7. The goober

This type of girl is harder to find. She uses every other filter on Snapchat, the ones that make you look disfigured. Usually, these are the pictures that you only directly send to your best friends. The girls who post these silly, unattractive pictures on their stories definitely have the "I'm having fun, and I don't care what you think about it" attitude.

I believe that every girl that possesses a Snapchat account falls into one or more of these categories. However, as long as you behave and have fun with the app, keep being your Snapchat self!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
