7 Tips To Remember At A Meet and Greet

Meeting a celebrity is something everyone dreams of. That moment you buy or win your first meet and greet, you want to scream it from the rooftops and tell everyone: YOU'RE MEETING THE PERSON OF YOUR DREAMS. But with every meet and greet comes a few rules:

1. Don’t cry until you leave.

Walking into a room and seeing the person who has been hanging on your walls since your tween years is overwhelming but hold in the tears until you leave. Not only will it destroy your makeup for the picture but also it makes the celeb feel uncomfortable. An uncomfortable celeb = awkward.

2. Don’t spaz about the celeb in front of the celeb.

Put yourself in their shoes. Imagine having someone come up to you speaking a million miles a minute and losing their minds because “OMG ITS ACTUALLY YOU.” This leaves the celeb with no idea what to say because yes it is them! As hard as it may be try to play it cool, calm and collected until you leave.

3. Don’t expect a lot of time with the celeb.

You are just one of the hundreds of fans they have to meet that day. Although you could spend hours talking to them, they have to get ready for the show and you need time to get your hyperventilation over with.

4. You’ll rehearse what you want to say a million times but it won’t actually go that way.

Let’s face it, once you see them look at you, you won’t even remember your name. The most you will probably get out is “Hi” and the rest of the time you will be numb, in a daze and unable to mutter a syllable.

5. Don’t be afraid to ask to do a pose in the picture.

There are some celebs that love to do all sorts of poses with their fans. From something as simple as kissing them on the cheek to touching each other’s butts, they are up for anything. But there are those who are sticklers for the side-by-side smiling pose. But hey, they could be having an awesome day and decide they wanna be wild and hold your hand. Always ask. The worst they can say is no.

6. Don’t make a scene if things don’t go your way.

A lot of the time, you cannot bring things in to the meet and greet. This includes items to be autographed to gifts for the celeb. There is a little amount of time and space so don’t be obnoxious if you can’t bring things in. The world is not against you, it’s the rules.

7. Have fun and take in the experience.

This is most likely a once in a lifetime experience. Take it in and enjoy. Also, don’t forget to post your meet and greet picture on social media because many envious friends are stalking you

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
