Returning to school from a month long break can be exhausting. Full of excitement to see missed friends and go back to your college lifestyle, but missing the ways of home and relaxation. Sometimes adjusting from your vacation can be difficult and I’m sure most college kids have the same kind of thoughts while returning back to school.
1. The food is worse than you remember.
Whether you’re eating at a dining hall or cooking it yourself, the food you ate before your month long break didn’t seem this bad. Then again, you got so used to your parent’s home cooking and your favorite restaurants in your city that nothing could even come close.
2. Left with one suitcase, came back with two. Where do you put it all?
3. Time to get in shape.
I’m sure you’ve eaten WAY too much over the holidays and barely moved out of your comfortable bed (that you miss). You should cut back on my junk food and hit the gym. New semester, new you!
4. Was that really a month?
You barely got to do everything you had planned and you definitely didn’t spend enough time with your friends and family. There just wasn’t enough time.
5. Do classes really start tomorrow?
Time to get used to waking up early after getting an hour of sleep because you’ve been studying all night. Don’t even get me started about being assigned homework on the first day either.
6. On the bright side, classes mean syllabus week.
You’re excited and nervous for what the week has in store. For one week going out every single night is socially acceptable. Bring it on.
7. As much as you love being home, it's so great to be back.
Back with some of your best friends and carrying on with your college ways, you missed being back here and you’re excited to kill it this spring semester and finish out another year.
