Sisters: can't live with them, can't live without them. They are the ones who drive you crazy but in the best way possible. You can't stay mad at them for more than five minutes because you can't create conflict between them. They were your first best friend and will always be your biggest cheerleader throughout your life. Nothing can ever replace them, and you wouldn't want anyone other than her as your sister.
1. Thank you for being my person
You were the one who was there when I was born and have been by my side ever since then. There is nothing that has ever come between us and I can guarantee that we will be best friends forever. You are the bread to my butter, the Chuckie to my Tommy, and the cheese to my macaroni. You are going to be the one who stands next to me when I get married and the one who I call when I get old so you can do stuff for me, even though you'll be old too. Even though we don't get to see each other everyday, I know we will always be close. We have a bond that can never be broken and I can't wait to see what the world has in store for both of us to take on together.
2. Thank you for being someone to make fun of mom and dad with
I love that we can give each other one look and know we are laughing at the same thing. Whether it's mom saying a word funny or dad just being dad, you are the one person who understands how hilarious they both are when they aren't even trying to be. When they do something embarrassing, we both make sure to imitate them at least 20 times before moving on to the next funny thing they do. This is my favorite part about us.
3. Thank you for being fun
Whenever we are together, you always make things more fun. Even if we are just going to Costco or the mall, you always know what to do that will make me laugh. When we play Mario Kart together, I can always count on you to be the one who yells at the screen and then realize you were looking at the wrong one the entire time. You are always down to do anything fun and spontaneous with me, and that makes you even more special.
4. Thank you for being the one to keep me sane at family events
Let's face it, more than half of the things we are forced to go to are super boring without the entire family being there (the out-of-town-family) and you are the one to keep things fun. We sit next to each other at holidays and pretty much laugh at everything everyone says. If we don't feel like talking to anyone, which is basically every holiday, we get more food and pretend we are chewing so we don't have to talk. You are the one who makes faces at me while dad is reading the Haggadah at the Passover seder because, well, you know why. I don't know what I would do without you there on holidays.
5. Thank you for being my role model
I know I probably have never told you this but you are one of my role models. You are a strong, independent woman who doesn't need a man and the best person I know. When you studied abroad, you went somewhere you knew nothing about and was scared to go. You never wanted to leave and you had only been there for a few months. You are always willing to try new things and have never once cared what anyone thinks of you. Although sometimes you think you aren't doing things right or nothing is going right for you, just know that it will all work out in the end. You have taught me so much and you probably don't even know it.
6. Thank you for understanding me
You are the one person who knows me better than anyone, including mom and dad. You have watched me grow up and supported me through the ups and the downs. You know what my strengths and weaknesses are and push me to become the best version of myself everyday. You love me for who I am and never hesitate to tell me what I should do better.
7. Thank you for being you
You're my best friend and always will be. You have instilled in me many qualities that I will carry with me for the rest of my life and have an extremely big impact on my life and many others. You mean the world to me and I can't imagine my life without you in it. You are the best older sister a girl could ask for and I love you with all my heart. You are the best person I know.
