There is never an in between when it comes to break ups, let's be honest here. Either your break up went horribly wrong and you're now upset/hurt over the situation, or, you and your ex were civil about the whole thing and understand why things are the way they are. Things happen, people change, and life moves on. So, if you're newly single, or maybe have just accepted the fact that you and your ex aren't getting back together, here are a few things you should try in the meantime. Trust me, these things help.
1. Remember, Khloe Kardashian said, "The best form of revenge is a good body." Get back at him and start working on those abs again so the next time he sees you, he'll realize what he took advantage of and wish he never did.
2. Post pictures all over social media. Go out, have fun, look hot, and let people know that nothing is getting you down, not even that break up.
3. Download Tinder. Nothing screams I'm moving on then setting up Tinder. Plus, if you're in need of a total confidence boost, you know, by a complete stranger, Tinder's the app for you. P.S. if you happen to live in Maryland, Tinder's loaded with guys who go to the Naval Academy. Who doesn't love Midshipmen? And if you don't live in Maryland, your state probably has pretty guys too, so get on Tinder.
4. Listen to Beyonce's album "Lemonade." OK, maybe your ex didn't cheat on you and you're not smashing his car windows out with a baseball bat, but, if you're looking for empowerment through upbeat songs, Bey's got you covered. #iain'tsorry #boybye
5. Spend time doing whatever your heart desires. Hey, don't want to answer your phone today? OK, cool, turn it off. Don't feel like leaving your bed? Awesome. Not like you have to worry about doing something for someone else, you're as independent as it gets. Plus, a Netflix binge watch was probably long over due anyways.
6. Go visit your friends. If college has blessed you with having friends all over the world, give them a visit. Getting out of your normal routine will only help you forget about things that may be weighing you down emotionally. Plus, who doesn't want to go some place different to visit your best friend? It just screams good idea.
7. Buy new clothes. It may sound totally basic and overrated, but, buying yourself a few new outfits will only boost your confidence, making you want to get back out there and explore the single life. It really isn't that bad.
You deserve to be happy, so stop beating yourself up over a break up and actually do something about being single. This list is only the beginning of the many things that are out there to explore, so get out there already.
