Fall is my absolute favorite season. I love when it starts getting a little bit chilly. It truly is the most wonderful time of the year. There are so many wonderful things and here’s seven of my favorite things about fall.
1. Fall Wardrobe
In the fall there starts to be that little nip in the air. It isn’t cold, just a little chilly. I love fall wardrobes though. I love being able to pull out my chunky sweaters and my boots and my scarves and my flannel. Fall is the time where my style Pinterest board comes to life!
2. Fall Makeup
Another thing I really love is fall makeup. I must confess I am a makeup junky. I have so much makeup and the start of fall means I get to wear my fall colors. It’s so exciting to wear more coppers and maroons. Gone are the bright pink lipsticks of the summer and in come the dark vampy lips of fall. I love looking through Pinterest to find my #MakeupGoals. Fall also means Halloween makeup! Halloween is the one night where you can wear crazy makeup and no one will look at you funny.
3. Football
Fall means football! Growing up in the south means that football is everything. Growing up in Alabama means you must pick a side. Alabama or Auburn? I made the choice any reasonable person would make and chose Alabama. Roll Tide! Whether you support high school football, college football, or NFL, you understand how wonderful fall football is!
4. Apple Cider
I know you can drink apple cider at anytime but fall is prime apple cider drinking time! Nothing beats a nice hot mug of apple cider with red hots in it after a long day of school!
5. Leaves
Fall is that wonderful time where the leaves begin to turn yellow, red, and orange. I always love driving home on the weekend because I love to see the leaves on the trees as I drive through each little town. When I was a senior, we actually moved up the date of my pictures because the leaves hadn’t changed really pretty yet! Oh what fun it is to jump in a huge pile of leaves. 6. Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. Like EVER. Thanksgiving to me is the official beginning of the Christmas season, even though I’ve been playing Christmas music for months by then. You’ve got great food, wonderful family, and the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. What more could you ask for?
7. Pumpkins
In fall, everyone goes to pumpkin patches and picks out the perfect pumpkin to carve or paint! Fall is also the time for pumpkin spice everything. Recently I’ve been getting these wonderful pumpkin spice whoopee pies from a little amish store about 15 minutes from campus. Personally, I don’t understand the appeal in a pumpkin spice latte but then again, I am more of an apple cider girl!
It was so hard just picking seven of my favorites things! There are so many other fall things that bring me great joy! Happy Fall Y’all!
