There are those who were blessed to look older than they are, and there are those who look exactly their age. However, there are also those who look way, way younger than they actually are, and people aren't afraid to point it out. The following are a few of the struggles you might experience if you look younger than your age.

1. People always assume you're at least three years younger than you actually are.

2. And they never believe you when you tell them your actual age.

"Wait, you mean you're not 14 years old?"

3. Your younger siblings are starting to look older than you.

4. People constantly reassure you that you'll be "thankful when you're older."

5. You've been handed a kid's menu at a restaurant a time or two.

6. And you may or may not have taken advantage of it...

Free dessert with every kid's meal? Yes, please.

7. You always have to have your ID in hand.

Yes, I really am the age that I say I am.

Hopefully, we'll all start to look a little more grown up soon. And, hopefully, it really will be worth it when we're older.

When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.
