Buying concert tickets is a sport. In the span of about 10 minutes you go through every emotion you have ever felt. It takes all your energy to buy a front row ticket to your favorite performer or band. If you are an avid concert goer or true fan, its front row or nothing… and getting front row is NOT easy to get.
1. Clearing your schedule your schedule for ticket release.
You email your professor saying got the virus that’s been going around or you call in sick for work. Nothing will stop you. On this day your only objective is to get the tickets, and you will put in a day’s worth of energy to do it.
2. Counting the seconds until the tickets are finally on sale.
Your cursor is on the button. Your heart is racing. You start sweating in anticipation. And your anxiety levels are through the roof.
3. Putting your click speed to the test trying to get front row seats.
You're screaming both internally and externally at this point. Front row is the first to go so you have to be the first to get them. You are in a mad dash amongst hundreds of other fans to get the best seats.
4. The anxiety you get when Ticketmaster gives you the “Sit tight, we're securing your Verified Tickets..."
It only takes about 5 seconds to verify whether or not you got the seats, but it feels like five hours. It’s the moment of truth. You’ll either be crying tears of sadness or tears of joy.
5. Typing in your credit card information as quickly as possible.
This is when it comes in handy to memorize your card information.
6. The sweet relief of getting the conformation that your tickets have been purchased.
It’s over. You got the tickets. You're probably still in shock, fingers shaking, staring at the screen, mind blank, maybe a small tear at the corner of your eye
7. The pure excitement that sets in after you realize you actually just bought front row seats.
You did it – you got the mother loving tickets and you're going to be front row.
