Everyone knows that when it comes to spring break, the destination is everything. Whether you are with your friends, family or spending the week by yourself, where you are can influence what you can and can't do. To make your spring break the best it can be, avoid traveling to the following destinations.
1. Your Parents' House
Yeah, you can get free food here, but if you go home, all you’re actually going to do is sit on Instagram and look at all the cute pictures your friends took in exotic locations. So, perhaps, you should just stay at school and attempt to tan in the FloCo Courtyard.
2. Wisconsin Dells
Ew. Need I say more? There are going to be tons very pale Midwestern people, floating in a lazy river, and no one needs that. Save yourself the pain and the money.
3. Panama City Beach
PCB is so 2015. This place was the ultimate spring break destination until they banned alcohol, which is kind of rude if you’re 21 and want to have a good time. If I were you, I would consider alternative options.
4. Your TA’s Office Hours
If your TA schedules office hours during spring break, please voice a complaint to your professor or possibly the dean. This is so annoying and insulting.
5. South Padre Island
At first glance, it seems like this location would be so college, but then you get there and realize that was just wrong. According to Trip Advisor, “This Place Sucks,” and it also was ranked the number four “Trashiest Spring Break Destinations” on Coed, so maybe just don’t.
6. Naples, Florida
This is retirement central, and it’s kind of hard to have a good time if someone’s grandma is watching you – literally.
7. Gary, Indiana
This is known as the armpit of the United States and also a city you should never visit. If this town happens to be on the way to your spring break destination, you should avoid it at all costs.
