7 Songs That Perfectly Describe Finals

1. Stay Alive-Jose Gonzales

You're hanging by a thread. Classes are just about to end, but you have one thing left. FINALS. You feel like you're on the brink, but you can do this. You have to push through. As you stare into your coffee you say......

"Do whatever just to stay alive."

2. Hold On-Alabama Shakes

One final down. You're exhausted, but you're still in the game. You can't give up now. You're so close to being home. Honestly......

"You've got to hold on."

3. Say Something-A Great Big World ft. Christiana Aguilera

You're in the middle of a final. You see that one question that you know you know. You've studied this for hours, but for some reason it just doesn't come to you. You're panicking. You beg your brain to..........

"Say something. I'm giving up on you."

4. Awake My Soul-Mumford and Sons

You're on your last leg. The majority of finals have kicked your butt. All you want to do is sleep, but you can't. There's only one thing to turn to and that's handy dandy caffeine. You chug that third red bull and say.....

"Awake. Awake. Awake my soul."

5. Hiding Tonight-Alex Turner

Your second final rolls around and you aren't ready. No matter how much you've prepared. No matter how much you've studied. You're still freaking out. It's coming soon. If your professor can't find you then you don't have to take the exam. You should just go take the exam........

"But i'm quite alright hiding tonight."

6. Bring Me to Life-Evanescence

At this point your not just asking your caffeinated beverages to help you. You're begging. Practically screaming. Everything reminds you of sleep but you just have to stare that drink right in the eye and say.....

"Wake me up. Wake me up inside. Can't wake up. Wake me up inside. Save me."

7.The Scientist-Coldplay

You're in your exam and let's face it. This is so hard. You're freaking out over equations that make zero sense and you think back to your friend who took this final last year and said it wasn't to bad. You can't help but think to yourself.....

"Nobody said it was easy. No one ever said it would be so hard."

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
