7 Songs To Help You Rise Up And Remind Yourself Of Your Greatness

This one goes out to those of you who speaks through music. If you ever feel like you aren't enough or you start to loose hope in yourself, listen to these songs. I hope they remind you of how great you are. As Duke said in She's the Man, "Be not afraid of greatness. Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and others have greatness thrust upon them."

1. "Good As Hell" by Lizzo

Every time I am in the car with my friends we play this song. It is one of those songs to listen to when you are in a relationship that you should leave. "If he don't love you anymore, then walk your fine ass out the door." If you aren't given what you deserve, leave because you don't deserve anything less than what you think you do.

2. "Lonely Call" by RaeLynn

You aren't someone to call in the middle of the night when someone is bored. If you go from the morning call to the midnight call, unless it's what you want, end it.

3. "I Will Survive" by Gloria Gaynor

There is so much you have that you can give to the person who deserves it. If someone isn't treating you well, move forward because they don't deserve your best when they aren't giving you anything. You can survive without them and you'll find someone who deserves all you can give.

4. "Worth It" by Danielle Bradbery

If you ever forget your worth, listen to this song. If you aren't being given all you deserve then leave. You are worth everything you think you aren't, never forget that.

5. "The Champion" by Carrie Underwood ft. Ludacris

Throughout your life, people will tear you down. Don't let them keep you there, find a way to rise above it all. You are the only one living your life, as your life goes on you'll realize how those people helped you. From them tearing you down and you picking yourself back up, you have gotten so much stronger.

6. "This is Me" by Keala Settle

If you haven't seen "The Greatest Showman", go watch it. This is one of the most powerful parts of the movie. If you are being bullied and feel like you can't go forward, remind yourself of who you are. Don't be ashamed of yourself, you are the only you there is and that is a wonderful thing. Do you have things you want to change or don't like about yourself? So does everyone, that's okay, but don't let it hold you back.

7. "Whatever It Takes" by Imagine Dragons

Things may hold you down throughout your lifetime but you can "break the chains" and achieve greatness. There will always be things throughout your life that will bring you down but show your strength and rise above it.

We are all great and we all deserve so much. Never forget what you deserve and what you're worth. I know how common it is to think down on yourself and let others people's comments pull you down. I hope after listening to these songs you will remember how much you deserve and your greatness.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
