Finals are over and its time to go home for winter break. Winter break means you have a month to relax from school. No matter what your plans are for the break; here is seven signs that you are home:
1. Finish a Netflix series in a few days.
It doesn't take you long to watch a whole tv season on Netflix. That is because you spend all night or all day watching the show instead of socializing with your family or friends.
2. Constantly answering questions about your love life.
All though your family asked you during Thanksgiving Break if you were seeing someone, they still ask you again when you are home for the winter. It almost seems like they are tired of you being single or trying to tell you that something is wrong with you with for being single still.
3. Noticing that you don't have a lot of friends at home.
When you are home for the break you realize that you don't have many friends here compared to at school. You realize that you outgrew all of your high school friends because every single one of you are at different points in your life.
4. Realizing all the hours you need to work.
Seeing how much your textbooks are going to cost next semester, you realize that you need to work a lot of hours to be able to afford them. Also, you realize that you need money during the break to enjoy going out with your friends.
5. The excitement you get for a home cooked meal.
You realized that you get a full month a home cooked meals instead of eating the school's food all time. You also realize that during the time of being home and having home cooked meals almost every day that you will not want to leave the home cooked meals.
6. Spending most of your days doing nothing.
You spend all day sleeping in and staying up late every night. The few hours that you are up for during the day, you notice that just lay in your bed. Also, that you never really leave your room unless it is time to get food or if you are going out to see your friends.
7. Counting down the days until you get to go back to school.
You love being home, but you are counting down the days until you are reunited with your friends at school. You miss just being able to walk down the hall or just walk to their home and hang with them. Now during the month that you are home, you can only communicate with them through social media or by making plans to travel to see them. Just knowing that you only have a month apart, still feels like a lifetime apart from each other.
