Ever since Gilmore Girls finale in 2004 GG fans have been debating and divided over one questions: Who did Rory end up with?
This question has only been exasperated by the one-seasoned revival Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life where we are left with yet another cliffhanger. Rory, in the last 30 seconds, reveals that she is pregnant, and fans are left with thousands of questions. Who is the father? Who will she end up with? Jess or Logan? The only good thing that came out of Rory's story was that it eliminated her first boyfriend, Dean, from the running.
Sorry Team Dean at least now you switch over to Team Jess. Am I bias, you ask? Yes, yes I am.
1. Witty banter
Jess was known for his witty banter and could almost compete with Lorelai with his quick remarks. Rory was never bored with him the way she got with Dean.
2. Books
Jess was Rory's only boyfriend who shared her love for books, a huge part of her character.
3. He grew up
Unlike Logan, Jess grew up and changed. He got his life together, wrote a book and even paid Luke for all his help. Logan is still the same. He cheats on his fiancee with Rory, he doesn't take responsibility for his actions and in the end he ultimately chose money over Rory.
4. Never cheated with or on her
Rory lost her virginity to her married ex-boyfriend Dean. Then her college boyfriend, Logan, cheated on her with a bunch of his sisters' friends because they were on "a break". Then, in the revival Logan cheated on his fiancee with her. But Jess, who did make his own mistakes, always did what he thought was best for her.
5. Clarity
Jess, not Lorelai, her grandparents, nor Logan could convince Rory to go back to Yale. During the revival, he was the only who got Rory back on her path. He's always been her moment of clarity.
6. It's a full circle
ASP confirmed that Logan was Rory's Christopher, so that has to mean that Jess is Luke. Right? RIGHT?!
7. He's Gorgeous
Enough said.
