Midterms are finishing up and you're so done with the semester already, even though you're only half way to the finish line. Good news is, if you made it to midterms, Spring Break is just around the corner- literally. Everyone's talking about the beach they're going to or the big city they're going to explore in hopes of seeking out their after-graduation jobs. Girls are hitting the mall for bikinis and sundresses, while the guys are scrounging up balls for beer pong and hitting the gym. It's all everyone seems to be talking about, unless that isn't you and you aren't going out of town with friends. That's okay, though because you can make the best out of going home for break. After all, it's cheaper, you won't get sun burnt, or alcohol poisoning. You do get to get off campus for a while and visit some of your favorite places back home, which is just as fun, right? (Okay, maybe it isn't as fun, but you can make the most of it.)

1. You get to sleep in your own bed for a whole week
Nothing feels better than falling into your childhood bed after being away at school for weeks or even months. Trust me.
2. YOU GET TO SEE YOUR BELOVED PUPPY (or whatever pet has your heart)
Omg. Omg. Omg. Omg. Omg. All the puppy lovin's in the world aren't enough for your one week home.
3. If you're blessed enough to have a mama that cooks, do NOT take her for granted
No matter how "good" your school's cafeteria is, nothing compares to your moms homecooked meals.
4. Food that isn't soggy from grease or that won't give you Salmonella
See above.
5. You get to visit your back-home-friends
Your new friends at school are great, but you can't replace your friends back home.
6. You can sleep in because there's no class or high sun to beat at the beach
College is hard and life is busy, please just let me sleep in a little!
7. You enjoy spending the week with family, because you miss them more than you admit when you're away
They may get on your last nerve when you're home, but you love spending time with them anyways because being away from them is harder than you'd like to admit.
