I'll be the first to say I'm a huge Grey's Anatomy fan. I've watched all the episodes, fallen in love with the characters and sobbed for hours on end when someone got killed off. Grey's is an obsession and a lifestyle for some. In a way, it's like a bad boyfriend-it's made you laugh, made you cry, made you blisteringly angry and has made you happy. But if we think long and hard about it, Grey's has ruined all of our lives and here here's why:

1. It's Given Us High Expectations

You're lying if you tell me that after watching a season of Grey's Anatomy and exposing your eyes to McDreamy, McSteamy and every other McSomething that walks through the doors of Seattle Grace. You didn't have one inkling of hope every time you went to the doctor that, by some miracle, a McSteamy was gonna walk through that exam room door and check you out (in more way than one, in a perfect world). It's given us high expectations of our regular doctors and it's a little unfair (to both us and our doctors). It has set us up for a life of disappointment.

2. It's Ripped Your Heart Out of Your Chest

Not only has Grey's broken your heart in 15 different ways, It's ripped it straight out of your chest, stomped on it and poured the remains back inside. This show is a sob starter. Don't expect to do anything after watching an episode where someone important croaks because it'll take a loooong recovery before you to feel up for life again. Another prime example of how Grey's Anatomy is like a bad ex boyfriend--shreds your heart into pieces and makes you feel bad. It's unfortunate for when you want to re-watch because, if you're like me and cannot put your heart through anymore sadness, you have to skip all the sad episodes and if we know Grey's, we know there is a shit ton (thanks Shonda).

3. It's Given Us False Hope

Watching Grey's and seeing how cool and badass Meredith and Christina are kinda slightly makes us want to be as cool as them and maybe even make us believe we could attempt to be a doctor. Now I'm sure a lot of you out there can damn well be a doctor and might even be a doctor but I know that's not really gonna ever happen for me (and I'm ok with ti) but I still want to be as cold-hearted, dark and twisty like Mer and Christina but no matter how hard I try, I come up a little too short. Sigh, I guess I can just live vicariously through these imaginary characters on TV but it's just not the same as being it in my reality and again, I am disappointed.

4. It 's Given You No Hope In Your Love Life

The emotional roller coasters within the characters' lives are exhausting and gives us zero motivation to ride our own roller coaster while also giving us no hope in our love life because if these smart beautiful chicks get left at the altar, dumped, dismissed and cheated on, what hope is there really for us? *eye roll*.

5. It Has Consumed Your Life

You binge watch Grey's. You can' stop watching Grey's. Grey's becomes you. You become Grey's. Thursdays have a whole new meaning to you.

6. It Sucks You In

Grey's has this special way of making you feel like you know these characters personally, that you are experiencing all of these things with them. Because of this, you are devastated when a character dies or leaves and you feel the same emotions as the characters when something bad happens to them, like it's happening to you. It sucks you into this deep dark hole with the characters that you can't escape from.

7. It's Amazing

Even though it ruins our lives, it's all worth it in the end because Grey's Anatomy is amazing.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
