Everyone has their favorite season, let’s all admit that now. It’s OK, you’re allowed to pick a favorite, I won’t tell the other seasons. I, by a landslide, am completely and utterly OBSESSED with fall. It’s, in my opinion, hands-down, the best season. In this article, I’m going to give you a few reasons why I believe fall is the best.

1. Sweater Weather

Or as I like to call it, jean weather. I love wearing jeans, if the seasons allowed I would wear them all the time. During autumn, the air is crisp and the temperature is finally comfortable. You can finally break out those jeans, leggings, cardigans and scarfs and wear them without sweating your face off.

2. Bonfires

Yes, you can have bonfires in summer and spring, and you can even have them in winter if you really wanted to. But fall is the best time to have a bonfire because at night the air is cool enough that the fire warms you up. So toast yourself a marshmallow and enjoy that fall night by the warm fireside.

3. Boot(ie)s

In my opinion, boots are probably the cutest shoe style around. There are so many different variations that can fit mostly anyone’s style. You can put on a pair of sick combat boots or rock a pair of suede booties with fringe detail. Whatever your look, you can find a boot to go with it. Not to mention they can be mighty comfy and go perfectly with those jeans.

4. Nature’s Beauty

Fall is such a lovely season, the changing of the leaves gives nature an even more beautiful scenery. The bright oranges and reds, mixed with the pale yellows is a beautiful picture that only nature could paint. Not to mention that once all those leaves drop you can rake them into a pile and dive right in.

5. Pumpkin Spice Everything

Fall is that magical time of year when it is socially acceptable to consume everything pumpkin spice flavored. Cereal, check. Coffee, check. Donuts, check. Gum, check. Sausage, check. You could find just about anything in that pumpkin spice flavor. So stock up and indulge while you can.

6. Fall Activites

If you haven’t done so, I would definitely recommend you go to your local orchard and pick yourself a pumpkin. There are tons of them in all different shapes, sizes, and colors. Not only is it a cute activity/date, but it makes for adorable photo ops. Once you’ve picked out your perfect pumpkin, take that sucker home and make a cute or scary jack-o-lantern. Fall is also the perfect time for festivals, craft fairs, etc. It's also the perfect time to go out and explore your town or city! There are plenty of things to do and enjoy from a local Fall Fest to a craft beer and food truck festivals to 5ks, if you're into that. There is something to please everyone, so go out and see what exciting event your area is offering.

7. Bugs Are Gone

Listen, I am not an outdoorsy girl. I prefer to not be outside where bugs can eat me alive and annoy me. Yes, I know I’m in their territory, blah blah blah, but still, it’s annoying. During fall, the bugs have finally returned to the depths of hell from which they came, and I can enjoy my bonfire and s’mores in peace. BUG, BYE.

Since fall is right around the corner, I have one piece of advice for you. Go out and embrace it! Soak up and enjoy every fall day you can. There are so many fun things to do and the weather is tolerable enough to do them. So, go out and enjoy those fall days and nights before Jack Frost’s sneaky ass creeps up on us.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
