God decided to bless my parents with a girl and two boys. And that also means that God has blessed me with two brothers, and no sisters. Luckily for me, God did give me three AMAZING female cousins (and of course so many other awesome cousins!). These girls are basically sisters to me, and they are the best people to have girl time with! After a girls' weekend spent in Canada with my cousins, I decided to dedicate this article to them. I created a list of the top seven reasons why having close female cousins is a blessing. So here's to these amazing ladies!

1. You can be your crazy self around them.

There is no one that I can be sillier with than my female cousins. Wondering why? Because since they come from the same family they have the same sprinkle of crazy that I do. There's no judgement because we're all a little goofy.

2. They're great for girl talk.

Similar to the above, because there's no judgement from your closest female cousins, you can tell them anything! Boys, college trouble, gossip, drama, the list goes on and on. And the best part? What is shared during cousins weekend stays in cousin weekend.

3. Every emotion is acceptable.

You'll laugh, you'll fight, you'll cry, but in the end you'll love the heck out of each other and not wish for anyone else! Cousins weekend was filled with a lot of emotions which just made me realize how amazing it is to have these ladies to share these emotions with!

4. You always pick up where you left off.

Do I talk to my cousins every day? No. Does it impact our relationship at all? No. We can go weeks without talking and it feels like we pick up right where we left off. That's the magic of having cousins!

5. They love food as much as you do.

No one quite understands your love for food like the family that grew up eating it right along with you! We grew up having the best food at family parties, and you know that your cousins love the same food you do! Which means that when you take a girls trip, you get to eat fried calamari, poutine, and so much more.

6. They'll be straight with you.

One of the main reasons that girl talk is so easy with close female cousins is that they'll be honest with you. Because they're family, they won't be scared to give their true opinion, and you know that the advice they give is real, and not just what you want to hear.

7. You know they'll always be there.

The saying "blood is thicker than water" is definitely true here. No matter how many close friends I have, I always know that in the end my family will be the ones here for me. And for that I am forever grateful.

6 Things Owning A Cat Has Taught Me

Owning a pet can get difficult and expensive. Sometimes, their vet bills cost hundreds of dollars just for one visit. On top of that, pets also need food, a wee wee pad for a dog, a litter box with litter for a cat, toys, and treats. Besides having to spend hundreds of dollars on them, they provide a great companion and are almost always there when you need to talk to someone. For the past six years, I have been the proud owner of my purebred Bengal cat named Spock. Although he's only seven years and four months old, he's taught me so much. Here's a few of the things that he has taught me.

It's fun to see all of the selfies on social media, they are everywhere. I see pictures with pouty lips, duck lips and pucker lips. I see smokey eyes, huge fake lashes and nicely done nose jobs, boob jobs and butt lifts. Women working out in spandex, tiny tops and flip flops. I see tight abs and firm butts, manicured nails and toes, up dos and flowing hair. "Wow", I think to myself," I could apply tons of make-up, spend an hour on my hair, pose all day and not look like that. Maybe I need a longer stick!"

It is evident that all this is only a legend although archeology shows us little by little that these kings if they did not exist as the ancient history, describes them, have at least in the very Outlines were real as chief of a shepherd’s tribe.
