It's sad to say, but Meet the Robinsons is an underrated Disney movie. As one of my favorite movies, I feel that people forget about this movie much like they forget about Chicken Little, but that's a different story. This, however, is most likely due to the little advertising it seemed to get in the year of its release 2007. With movies like Enchanted, Ratatouille, and Bridge to Terabithia, alongside other Disney films, this movie just didn't stand out quite as much. Despite the lack of attention this movie received, I remember watching it on television around the time it came out. I loved it then and to this day I still do. Here is just a few reasons why:
1. The Robinsons.
They are such a diverse, accepting, family that just makes you sort of hope everyone is like them in the future.
2. The villain (and the real villain?)
He let his desire for revenge get the best of him (skewing some of his memories too). However, his sidekick is seemingly more evil than he is?
3. There is a jazz frog band.
'Nuff said.
4. Rather than the romantic love Disney usually focuses on, the movie use love from family.
I just love them so much.
5. The soundtrack is pretty good.
I mean there's a JoBro song on there. Oh, the 2007 feels. (Plus DANNY ELFMAN is a musical genius who's worked on the discography of A LOT of movies- ex: The Nightmare Before Christmas!)
6. The lessons you can take from this movie are great.
7. THE PLOT TWIST
"So if I go back now, then this will be my future..."
