7 Reasons Some People Should NEVER Own Pets

From experience at a very reputable pet supply store, I have some comments for some people I've seen who own pets and certainly should not.

I see news stories all over Facebook about people who don't take care of their pets and are told that they absolutely should never own any pets. I agree that a lot of people in the world cannot handle pets and likely never will be able to handle a pet. Through my experience working in a pet supply store, I've met some customers who go over and beyond for their pet as one would for their child, but I've also met customers that lack that care and compassion when it comes to their animals.

1. They Don't Have The Finances.

I understand that not everyone is rich and not everyone is even well of in life because of their financial status and such, but if you are planning to own a pet then you must understand that some of your beloved paycheck - no matter how small or how big - is going to have to go towards their care and food. Yes, cheap vet clinics are very easy and good on the wallet, but they can only do so much for your pet without an operating table or certain medications if necessary. Everyone who plans to own or does own a pet should see an actual veterinarian hospital at least once a year for their pets so they can assure you that the pet is fine and healthy and give it its yearly shots. If you're reading this and you're thinking "no, I won't spend so much money on my pet", then please don't get a pet!

2. They Cannot Handle The Responsibility.

Some people have either too much on their plate to handle the responsibility of a pet, and some just do not know how to take care or anything or have responsibility for anything. Pets are a lot of responsibility. Yes, they are cute and adorable and aw they just licked your hand! But they also need veterinarian care, healthy food, good toys, and certain medications if they have allergies or any issues. Some people who own pets don't take responsibility for this, and these are the people who should never own a pet. If you cannot set aside your brain to be responsible towards your pet like you would your own child, then why did you get a pet?

3. They Do Not Put In The Effort.

Buying Friskies and ProPlan is really sweet on that wallet, isn't it? But your pet isn't benefiting as much as you are from these cheap, chemically filled foods. These foods are fatty and unhealthy for your pet. You wouldn't feed you human child Gushers and candy every day, would you? If you would, then you should not have a kid OR a pet. If you wouldn't, then buy good food for your pets. Do the research and don't be skimping on the money needed because, like I've stated previously, if you are going to own a pet you have to be able to scrap up the money to keep the pet safe, happy, and healthy.

4. They Do Not Care.

So many people just say "oh I feed my dog table food, it's cheap and he likes it". Yes, he may like it, but you're cutting his life short by feeding your dog food fit for humans. You have to care about your pet as much as your care about yourself! If you could not care less what your dog does or eats or if your pet has some kind of extreme medical issue, please give your pet to someone who does care because you don't deserve to be a pet owner.

5. They Are Abusive.

ABUSIVE PET OWNERS ARE THE WORST. If you EVER, EVER hit your pet or even thought about hitting your pet or doing something even remotely worse - you are the scum of the world. Anyone who is inhumane or anything of the sort to an innocent - yes, all animals are innocent - animal, then you should be jailed and never be able to own, go near, or see a pet ever again. Clear?

6. They Are Not Knowledgable.

Pet owners who are not knowledgable about their pets can fix this by simply doing their homework before adopting or buying their pet. If you don't know your pets breed, type, or anything about them then you are not going to raise and own this pet properly. So, an easy way to avoid anything bad happening is to just read up on whatever pet you are thinking of getting so you can do the best possible for said pet once you are able.

7. They Have Had Negative Pasts With Pets.

If you have a history of pets running away because of your neglect, a past with abusing any animals (pets or otherwise), or you have a history of giving up pets whenever times get too tough for you, then please do not accept another innocent animal into your life to possibly be given these futures I've described. It's for the best of the pet, not for you - remember that!

Now, if you don't fit any of this criteria than go ahead and adopt a cute and cuddly animal to be in your care. If you do fit ANY of this criteria please try to change it or just accept that you are unfit, unable, and not allowed to own a pet. It is not the end of the world, I assure you. Pets are just a lot for some people and if you don't own one, you don't subject it to possible negative futures. Be smart before you get a pet!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
