Yes, I will be the first one to say it. Justin Bieber is definitely not perfect, and has made his share mistakes. But haven't we all? Obviously he struggled a lot with fame and made some wrong choices. Regardless, I am still proud to be a belieber. Hate on me all you want, but six years ago, I was that girl who married a fake Justin Biebs Facebook account. The obsession I had in the 7th and 8th grade has subsided, but nonetheless, I am still a proud fan. Here are seven reasons why I am and always will be.
1. His music
From his first hit single--"One Time", to the even bigger hits "Baby," "Sorry," and "Love Yourself," his music has never disappointed.
2. His face
Sorry not sorry, but I am 90 percent sure you are lying to yourself if you do not consider Bieber a very very attractive 22-year-old. Not denying that his photo has previously been my phone background.
3. His love for fans
My best friend met Bieber years ago (have a little hate for her), and says he was the best. His genuine attitude and gratitude towards his fans make me happy -- he has not forgotten that fans are probably the most influential part of being famous.
4. His relationship with Ellen
God bless Ellen DeGeneres. Seriously. All of the segments on EllenTube--especially his concert when "Purpose" was released honestly made my life for a solid week. He has been a part of her life since he was found by his manager on YouTube and us beliebers probably cannot thank her enough. Watch a great compilation here.
5. His Calvin Klein campaign.
Yeah I think this one speaks for itself. He definitely graced us with really amazing pictures of his shirtless and tattooed body. He got some hate but like honestly no type of publicity is bad publicity.
6. His dancing.
This young Canadian can really move. I remember watching "Never Say Never" in theaters (until I bought the DVD) and loving the concert parts. This guy has moves and did not lose them in his hiatus from the music industry. The first live performance at the AMAs of "Sorry" and his dance in the rain was just beautiful. 7. His mentality.
From the beginning, Justin always said, "never say never." On said hiatus, he was trashed and belittled for making bad decisions. I can only imagine how hard it is to be even just the tiniest bit famous, let alone Bieber famous. Because of his choices, he debated ending his music career. Clearly he thought it through and decided to continue with his career, and is doing so amazingly. Proud fan.
Expecting some criticism on my love for a 22-year-old that has no idea that I exist, but I honestly am super proud to say that I am a Bieber fan. Bad decisions or not, he is a person. A person with feelings and a heart, just like you and I.
