Many of you have at least one tattoo. On the other hand, many of you don't have any tattoos. Regardless of your stance on the matter, it doesn't matter whether you have tattoos or not. Tattoos come in a variety of sizes and designs, so if you have one, it could be a symbol of a close family member, your favorite bible verse, or a flower, among others. This is your choice as to what kind of tattoo you get, and it's supposed to have meaning such that it makes you feel empowered.

Getting a tattoo is a potentially new, challenging experience, and when you look back, there's a reason you went for it. Perhaps it changed your life or brought back a meaningful memory. Whatever it is, it was your choice.

I am one of the many who don't have any tattoos, but there is no problem at all with that.

The decision not to have any tattoos is totally up to you.

It's your body.

You have your fair share of reasons not to get a tattoo. Here are 7 reasons why it's okay not to have any.

1. You don't know what you want the tattoo to be

The thing is, once you get a tattoo, it is almost permanent so it's difficult to take off. You'll want to think it over. You also can decide whenever you want to get a tattoo.

2. You aren't sure where you want the potential tattoo to be

Tattoos can be done anywhere on the body, and are most commonly done on arms/shoulders/legs/back/chest, so you have some uncertainty on where you want it to be.

3. You don't want to deal with the pain

Society will jump right on you and tell you you're a wuss for not getting the tattoo. However, that carries little weight since if you are in this predicament, you're being honest with yourself about how you feel regarding a tattoo.

4. You're self-confident

You know what you like regarding your body and what you don't like, and since you're confident about how you feel regarding tattoos, more power to you.

5. You know your self-worth

Your self-worth isn't defined by the number of tattoos you have. You know how great of a person you are, and you understand that a tattoo doesn't bring others above you.

6. You don't have to give in to peer pressure

Just because every other person has a tattoo doesn't mean you need to follow suit.

7. You don't need a tattoo

You don't need a tattoo because a tattoo is not supposed to be used to seek the approval of those around you.

You have made the choice not to get a tattoo, and it's a great choice. This by no means diminishes the choice of others who do get tattoos, since their choice is valid too. You can never go wrong with or without a tattoo, regardless of what anybody says. It's your body, your choice, and you don't owe anybody the time and effort of getting a tattoo. You know who you are as well, and you're confident in that person. You don't need a tattoo to feel validated or to be perceived as a better person because you're great the way you are.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
