Growing up in New York, I have always loved that I get to experience four very different seasons. Although I do love them all (except for summer -- summer is the worst), fall has always been my favorite. Here are some reasons why I love fall, and why you should love it too!
1. First of all, fall is absolutely beautiful. There is something magical about the way the leaves change colors and become even more beautiful than before. I mean look at these colors! So warm, so vibrant. How could you not love it?
2. Secondly, the very same reason why fall is so beautiful, is also an excellent source of fun! I couldn't imagine growing up somewhere where I couldn't spontaneously throw myself into a pile of fallen leaves. Even as an adult I secretly love stomping on crisp leaves and hearing them crunch under the pressure of my foot.
3. It's finally cold! As I said in the beginning, I hate summer, it's the worst. This is for many reasons, but mainly because I just really don't like the heat. I love the first fall days when you can put on a comfy sweater, sip some hot tea, and read a good book. I know for me, this also means saying goodbye frizzy hair, which is always a good thing.
6. Halloween! Who could forget about the third best holiday of the year (after Christmas and Thanksgiving, of course)! Halloween is one of the only times in the year when adults get to feel like kids again, and when kids completely take full advantage of their age and get free candy all day (let's be serious that's what every adult wishes they could do). Here's a picture of me dressed as Minnie Mouse! For some reason I look very confused...
7. Thanksgiving! Yes, I have saved the best for last. Thanksgiving is the absolute highlight of fall. Not only do you get to eat delicious food until you practically pass out, but you get to spend the night with the people you love the most.
