FSU offers a variety of sporting events at your leisure. They are always free with your student ID and sometimes will require you to procure tickets ahead of time. With the weather warming up again and bordering on too hot, now's the time to enjoy the cool A/C in the Tuck! The games are exciting and are well-worth the time. If you don't like it, you could always leave - doesn't cost you anything to check it out. You might like it!
1. The games are a fun break from studying during the week.
Few moments in sports are as entertaining as watching a man well over 7-foot tall dunk on an unsuspecting peasant. Even if he was expecting it, there's little he could do when the man's wingspan is the length of an Audi. Wouldn't you rather see that then absent-mindedly review your Quizlet flashcards for the umpteenth time?
2. You get the chance to make new friends.
There are plenty of ways to start a conversation with the stranger next to you: the least of which is mentioning anything about the team you're both there to watch - and the greatest of which is your conspiracy theory on why the earth is flat.
3. You might witness an unforgettable game.
They can happen at any time, especially against our rivals like Florida and Miami (we beat them both). We managed to drop over 100 points on Miami and our team almost upset the second ranked team in the country, Virginia!
4. Kiss Cam.
That’s right guys, bring a date and you just might get a good excuse to make your move.
5. Signing into the games lets you earn points for football season.
Even if you’re not a basketball fan, you should go to the games to advance your rank in the ticket windows when Doak is back in business. Your dedication now pays off later.
6. They’re exciting!
Our team is full of talented players that keep the game moving at an exciting pace. The Noles are 10-2 at home, so odds are you will leave the game with more school spirit than you had on your way in.
7. Every game is free.
Like many of the perks offered as a student (Leach, Doak, Stroz), the basketball games don’t cost a cent more than tuition! People pay good money for worse seats than your student ID gets you, so take advantage.
