7 Reasons I Choose Not To Wear Makeup Every Day

Putting makeup on is rather time-consuming and sometimes frustrating. It's nice to look nice every once in a while, but is makeup really necessary? Looking good shouldn't always involve makeup, because putting it on and leaving it on for hours is a struggle. I think makeup is a waste of time most of the time and there are so many reasons I don't want to waste my time applying it.

1. You can sleep in longer.

A lot of girls are willing to set their alarms earlier in order to apply a full face of makeup every day. I'd much rather spend that time sleeping than putting on makeup.

2. You can rub your eyes as much as you want.

When you have makeup on, you can't just rub your eyes. You have to be careful not to ruin your makeup, if your eye is itchy or if you just like to rub your eyes. Not wearing makeup and being able to really rub your eyes is so satisfying.

3. You're not uncomfortable all day.

I don't know about every other girl but if I have makeup on, I'm just not comfortable. I feel like my skin can't breathe, and I'm constantly worrying about my mascara getting under my eyes. It just feels so much better to let my skin breathe and not have to worry about my makeup getting messed up.

4. Your face breaks out.

Whenever I wear makeup, my face seems to break out the next day. I know this isn't true for all people, but it does show that its probably not good for our skin to be covered with goopy makeup all the time.

5. It takes a long time to do.

Girls can spend hours trying to perfect their makeup, but is it really worth it? It takes forever and at the end of the day, you just take it off anyways.

6. Makeup is expensive.

By not wearing makeup, you wouldn't have to replace your makeup as often, saving you a ton of money, because we all know that it can be extremely expensive.

7. I don't see the need for it

No girl needs makeup, whether they think they do or not. Every girl looks pretty naturally.

Whether you wear makeup every day or not, the important thing is to feel confident and happy in your own skin. So don't be afraid to ditch the mascara and rock the natural look.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
