Breakfast and lunch foods...need I say more?

I have recently discovered the magic that is brunch. Breakfast and lunch foods mixed together to make one awesome, mismatched meal that usually involves getting dressed up and alcohol. Does any of that sound bad to you?

If you need more convincing, read on to see my top 7 reasons why brunch is the best thing on this earth.

1. Brunch drinks

Brunch drinks usually include alcohol, like mimosas and bloody mary's. They both have just enough juice to feel like a morning drink, but also enough alcohol to feel like a cocktail. It's the perfect mix of both.

2. The food

Does this even have to be said? You get breakfast and lunch choices, which is perfect for those indecisive eaters that can't choose. You want a plate filled with waffles, chicken and potatoes? You got it with brunch.

3. Dessert!

Every brunch I have been to included a dessert table (and one even included a chocolate fountain that got my whole group a little too excited). The dessert table usually includes brownies, cakes, fruit and lots of sweet goodness that is the perfect ending to the meal.

4. Sundays are for brunch

Brunch is usually reserved for Sundays, which to me makes perfect sense. You eat brunch, and then get to go home and fall into a food induced coma for a few hours without worrying about work or responsibilities. It's a good choice.

5. The perfect time for a meal

Brunch is never at the crack of dawn, it's usually more like 11 or 12 o'clock. I am not a big morning person or a big morning eater, so it being this late is just fine by me. Sleeping late and good food, what else could you ask for?

6. Brunch is the best hangover cure

I have not met a hangover that couldn't be cured with a bloody mary and brunch food. It just works.

7. It's fun!

Eating lunch/breakfast food, enjoying some drinks and catching up with friends and family. It turns out being a really good day for your group and you'll slowly find yourself addicted to it.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
