7 Questions Everyone With A December Birthday Gets Asked
Birthday Wishes Expert

Anyone with a December birthday, otherwise known as “December Babies,” continually get asked the same questions every year. It’s like some tape recorder goes off in people’s head every time I say my birthday is in December. I get asked the same questions every single time, I might as well start answering the questions before they even attempt to ask them. People just get so amazed by “December Babies” like we are some sort of rare breed. So my fellow December birthdays, for those whose birthdays have already come and those who still await their big day, we can all relate to these yearly repetitive questions:

1. Do you get double the presents?

I mean sometimes. For me presents are not a big deal, so even if I get a dual present I wouldn’t care. Honestly, I probably wouldn’t notice. My parents, however, make sure I have a clear separation between birthday and Christmas presents so I don’t feel bad.

2. Do people forget to give you presents?

I don’t think so.

3. Do people forget your birthday?

Not usually. I think since my birthday is so close to Christmas more people actually remember.

4. Do you celebrate your birthday?

Do you celebrate your birthday? Of course I celebrate my birthday. What kind of question is that?

5. How does it feel to have a birthday so close to Christmas?

I like having a birthday so close to my favorite holiday. It is just a fun time in my household because we are just celebrating for pretty much a week straight.

6. Were you your parents’ Christmas present?

More like their Christmas nightmare, but it’s all about perspective.

7.So you were a Christmas baby?

My birthday is not actually on the day of Christmas, so I’m going to go with no.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
