7 Places I Aspire To Travel To

I am an explorer. I have always had a love for travel. I desire to see the world and truly experience life everywhere I go. It is probably the writer in me, the eagerness to learn and seek out something inspiring. To me, going on an adventure once in your life will inspire you to cherish every second. I aspire to create more memories in new places and familiar places within my reach. For several years, I have been compiling a list of several places I know I need to travel to in my lifetime.

1. Bali, Indonesia

For the longest, Bali has always been an obvious choice for me. Bail is beautiful, and that is an understatement. Something I aspire to do is to experience places but to experience their culture and state as it is.

2.   Madagascar, East Africa

Madagascar is a place I could explore forever. From the tropical island, the people who are full of culture, and the animals, there is always more to discover. It is the fourth largest island in the world, it is definitely an adventure in my books.

3.  London, United Kingdom

I want to travel to many places in Europe but the United Kingdom has to be most appealing to me, specifically, London. Speaking of the writer in me, London is full of art, literature, and theater which I absolutely love. This summer I have the opportunity to study abroad, in England for three weeks and London is one of the places I get to explore.

4.  Karnak, Egypt

Karnak is a popular city in Egypt that holds temples, chapels, and many other buildings. We are in a world that still possesses history before our time, that is a wonderful gift and opportunity.

5. San Francisco, California

Everyone deserves to go to California and see what it is truly all about. I am more interested in exploring the fashion and visiting the places featured in one of my all-time favorite TV shows; Charmed.

6.  Maine

Maine is a small place with a big personality. While I admire the small islands and the lighthouses, I want to travel there for the food (all the seafood I can eat) and of course the art.

7. Florida

Florida is one of my favorite places to go, especially this year. I have gone four times within this year and I can't get enough of it. There is so much to do all at once, from the beach to different islands and cities. I have to say there is something about the sunshine.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
