A few months ago I published "5 Ways To Explore The City Of Angels” detailing some of the things you could do when visiting LA, or if you are a college student like me who is still acting like a tourist for her first few months at USC (and will probably continue to act when I go back after the summer break…).
I really recommend reading it, especially before reading this article, not that it’s necessary, but will give you a few more ideas (maybe even photo related) as to the places to visit in LA. From fast food restaurants to the aesthetically pleasing areas that we’ve all seen on our Instagram feeds, all of these locations will provide you an area for not only for some good quality photo shoots, but some touristy attractions for your next trip to LA.
1. Rose Garden
Probably the most stereotypical one, but still aesthetically pleasing. Or you know if this doesn’t work for you, take a trip to the flower section of your favorite crafts store.
2. Metro station (yes you heard me)
One tidbit on this area though: please don’t disturb the people who are actually trying to use the public transport.
3. Streets of downtown LA
Literally just quickly stop in the middle of an interesting road (while looking for cars of course) and have someone snap a photo. Extra props if at night!
4. Little shops
Literally, any small shop in LA will have some sort of background for Instagram photos (such as Baes, Alfred Coffee, Angel City Brewery, Mr. Holmes Bakehouse, The Last Bookstore, etc.). Don’t be shy though because you are going to get looks when snapping the photos.
5. Any park or field
Grand and/or Griffith Park are my recommendations for nearby parks, but if you’re looking for a meadow, you’re going to have to make an extra trip for that. Most are more than an hour away, but worth it!
6. Arts district
A no-brainer, especially if you want a pop of color for your background
7. In 'N Out
Or honestly any fast food place, but it seems somewhat poetic for In 'n Out to be the fast food photoshoot choice by the number of people who rave about it in LA
