7 Online Stores You Need to Check Out

Recently, there has been a trend of online stores that have something about them that makes them unique and popular. Some even donate money to a particular cause, which is great because you buy something cute for yourself and also help out! Other stores are popular because they are full of artists who make their products. Essentially, you can find a product with anything you want on it. All of these stores are exciting and fun places to online shop!

Love Your Melon

A cute store about well, loving your melon (head)! This store has grown popular because of its cutie beanies. Although, the real reason behind this store is two college kids wanted to put a hat on every child who was battling cancer in the United States. This idea turned into a much larger ordeal. So yes, buying products from Love Your Melon contributes to fighting pediatric cancer.

Ivory Ella

Yet another big online store created with the idea of supporting a cause in mind. This store supports elephants and all of its merchandise has a cute elephant on it, as pictured. I love Ivory Ella, I’ve ordered multiple shirts from here myself the material is very soft the shirts are very cute. I feel awesome getting such cute products and supporting elephants!

Pawz for a Cause

This is a lot like Ivory Ella, although instead just for helping pets! They raise money to keep animals from getting euthanized because they cannot get into shelters. Again, cute shirts for a good cause.

Lokai

Lokai is a company that creates bracelets. The original Lokai bracelet is a symbol for balance. Although, over time Lokai has been making different bracelets monthly for a variety of causes and donating to them. Some of the causes Lokai has made bracelets for are The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, Make-A-Wish and the Alzheimer’s association.

Redbubble

A website I found within the last few years and is awesome for personalized gifts. You can get pretty much anything on here. I personally have ordered coffee mugs as gifts and stickers for my laptop. I have friends that have ordered clothing from here as well.

Society6

I came across Society6 on Pinterest one day and while I was very unsure of it when ordering for the first time, I was very pleasantly surprised. Society6 is like Redbubble in that it is a bunch of people who create the designs for products. Society6 has different products than Redbubble. I ordered a tapestry for my dorm from Society6 and the quality was very good.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
