Wrong! Colds are caused by viruses.
2. If you swallow gum, it will be stuck in your stomach for seven years.
False. Our body is good at digesting food, and although our body is unable to digest part of the chewing gum, it doesn’t stay in your stomach for that long.
3. Feeding bread to ducks is okay.
To start off, bread to ducks is like junk food. It may fill them up at that moment but it doesn’t contain any nutritional value. So, feeding bread to ducks is not a good idea.
4. Cracking your knuckles can give you arthritis.
You’ve probably heard from your mom that if you crack your knuckles you will get arthritis, turns out that is not true at all. When you crack your knuckles, the pockets of gas between the joints are released.
5. French fries originated in France.
French fries were actually from Belgium. They reason they named it “French” fries was because of the way they are cut.
6. You only use 10 percent of your brain.
Nope! We use every part of our brain, maybe not all at once but we do use it.
7. Your blood can be blue.
People believe this because of what they see under their skin which is blue veins. But the truth is, blood is always red. The reason we see it as blue is because of how the light interrelates with the skin.
