It is officially October!
While Halloween can mean many things to different cultures, a very popular tradition is to dress up in costumes. Being someone (or something) you aren't for a day is quite an experiment, but this Halloween, keep in mind that some costumes aren't always the most appropriate.
Here are 10 Halloween costumes that can be deemed offensive.
1. Caitlyn Jenner
Whether you agree with her choices or not, being respectful deserves to be considered. Another person's serious life choice is not a laughing matter-- never mind a Halloween costume as a joke.
2. A tampon
Or any other feminine hygiene product, for that matter. I find it funny that people seem to take interest in a huge part of almost every woman's life when it comes across as funny or as a joke. Otherwise, most run screaming in the other direction at the slightest mention of a menstrual cycle.
*Rolls eyes.*
3. Rihanna and Chris Brown
Glorifying an abusive relationship??? I don't think so.
While the domestic violence incident happened back in 2009, it is never OK to resurface such a horrible situation-- especially not as a Halloween costume you might find "clever" or "witty".
4. Baby Hitler
What kind of parents would subject their children to this kind of nonsense? Irresponsible and ignorant ones.
Do yourself a favor and don't dress your infant up as a mass murderer this Halloween.
5. Homeless
Some statistics for you:
In just the United States, more than 3.5 million people experience homelessness in varying degrees. 35% are families (with children). 49,933 are United States veterans.
There is an estimated 100 million homeless people in the world.

6. Suicide Bomber
Because irrationally grouping and stereotyping an entire race or religion is such a compassionate thing to do. Bravo.
7. The Twin Towers on 9/11
I shouldn't have to say anything.
So-- obviously there is a very thin line between funny and offensive. Don't cross it this Halloween... be a decent human and think about other people's feelings.
