Two weeks ago, the world mourned with Manchester after a horrific event that had us question humanity.
Earlier this week, a promising event brought the people of Manchester and the whole world closer than ever and spread love to every corner of every city, town, village. And just as complicated as it sounds, this healing power simply came from music.
This event, #OneLoveManchester, was Ariana Grande's benefit concert to help the victims and their families as they begin to recover from the tragic bombing. With performances by Niall Horan, Katy Perry, Little Mix, Coldplay, Miley Cyrus, the Black Eyed Peas, Justin Bieber, Marcus Mumford, Take That, Imogen Heap, Pharrell Williams, Robbie Williams, Liam Gallagher, and Ariana Grande herself, the concert made it clear that love is the only thing that can heal
The entire concert was memorable, but here are some of the most special moments.
1. "Don't Dream It's Over"
Miley Cyrus and Ariana Grande joined forces to create their second cover of "Don't Dream It's Over", and it was one to remember.
2. Niall Horan
Niall performed his two singles in front of 50,000 people. This was a major milestone for him and he deserved nothing but love and support.
3. Coldplay
Coldplay's appearance was more than enough, but they performed some of their hit songs and we were blessed.
4. "One Last Time"
To end the concert, Ariana brought all the artists out to perform "One Last Time". I'm glad it was the ending they chose, because there's no other way to perfectly end it.
5. "Where Is The Love"
The lyrics.
6. Security guards dancing
While the artists sang on stage, the security guards owned the audience sections. Their unexpected and absolutely beautiful dance moves were caught on camera, which impressed the Internet.
7. The energetic crowd
The audience was a major part of #OneLoveManchester, since many of them went to the unfortunate concert. At #OneLoveManchester, they showed love and unity, proving that nothing can stand between them.
