Charles M. Schulz's "Peanuts" gang has become a household name since its newspaper debut on October 2, 1950. Since then, the comics have been read in daily and Sunday papers, and the television specials have become a holiday tradition. Between the jokes in the comics, each character has shared with us a valuable life lesson or bit of advice. Here is just a handful of those lessons:
1. Spread the Love
It's important to remind our friends how special they are, especially when they're feeling down. They would do the same for us.
2. Look for More in Life
Don't be satisfied with life presents to you on the surface. Keep striving to get the most out of life, because you deserve it.
3. Be Yourself
You need to live your life how you want. It's called "your life" for a reason...but don't be afraid to get a little help from your friends.
4. Never Give Up
Charlie Brown's baseball failures are almost legendary. Even though the team lost most of its games by landslide scores, they come together every season to play the game they love. Everyone should take a page out of the team's book and never give up on something they love.
5. Keep on Believing
Don't change your opinions on something just because everyone else disagrees with you. If you believe it, then believe in it all the way.
6. Try, Try, Try
In life, you're going to fail a lot, but behind those failures are successes. Learn from your mistakes and move forward from there.
7. Use Your Imagination
The imagination is the part of us that connects us to our inner child. Without imagination, the world would be a pretty boring place.
