1. The Room Can Get Dirty Faster Than You Know It

Words cannot describe how fast dorm rooms get messy. It feels like in a blink of an eye one minute it was clean the next right back to extremely messy. To be honest that's just how college is. It's not perfect but you just got to let it get dirty then get it clean.

2. The Smells Can Sometimes Be Questionable

Sometimes I would walk into the room and this smell would just hit me. I would have absolute no idea what the smell is.

3. Sharing Is Caring

Living in a room the size of a walk-in closet means that you pretty much have to be okay with sharing. Sharing most things, not even a room, but a place itself.

4. Organization Is Your Best Friend

I'm not an organized person and that's okay, but in a dorm it's very hard to be unorganized without some of it ending up on your roommate's side. Just remember that life is so much easier when it's cleaner!

5. When It Comes To Stuff, Less Is More

Coming to college, of course, I was very nervous so I brought a HUGE unnecessary amount of clothes. Thinking that I would wear all of these clothes all the time, not realizing that I never wore these clothes at home. So why did I bring them? Just trust me and don't bring a large amount of clothing.

6. Wall Decor Makes It Feel More Homie

Decorating a dorm room is one of the best parts of living in one. Being able to express yourself is something totally amazing. No one's going to judge you for your decorations! Be yourself, it's so fun!

7. Always Make Your Bed As It Often Becomes A Couch

When you live in a tiny room and want to have friends over, think about it, where are they going to sit? Your bed, that's where. So make it often! It's fun when you can have people over and all bond sitting on your bed!!
