Although beauty trends tend to leave as soon as they come, one trend that hasn't stopped for months is that of Korean beauty products. They have gotten so popular that American stores like Forever21 and Urban Outfitters have started selling them. From moisturizing face masks to cute lip tints, Korean brands have started to take over! There are so many items that it seems impossible to start, but it's never too late! Here are seven Korean beauty products that you need to add to your collection RIGHT NOW.

1. Aloe Soothing Gel

We're getting SO close to summer time and if you like going out to the beach, then you have to stock up on this Aloe Gel from the Nature Republic. Made from 99 percent aloe leaf extract, this gel will get rid of any sunburn, fast. This product has saved me from days of pain with its moisturizing and healing properties. Just apply it to your skin and feel the cooling sensation as you just enjoy the summer breeze. You can get this from Nature Republic for $12.

2. Black Sugar Scrub

Don't worry. The scrub isn't as scary as it looks. This black sugar scrub from Skin Food is made fully from organic materials like black sugar, refined rice wine, and botanical oils. The little sugar crystals inside help to exfoliate your skin to smooth the surface and keep it nourished for the sun.

3. FACE it BB cream

Of course, we can't talk about Korean beauty products without talking about BB cream. Before last year, it was practically impossible for me to find BB cream that matched my needs. I need hardcore. I need waterproof, sweatproof, and life proof. This BB cream completely changed my life. It's completely waterproof and even comes prepared with SPF 30 so that you don't need to feel oily with sunblock. There are other great BB cream products but this one is from The Face Shop.

4. Peripera My Cushion Blusher

This tinted cream blush not only has the cutest packaging but will give you the rosiest cheeks. Since this blush is cream rather than powder, it moisturizes your skin while giving it a pink color. The cushioned tip at the bottom allows for an easy application for on-the-go coverage. This one is available at Urban Outfitters now for $16.

5. Pure Water Facial Mist

When I first heard about facial mist, I have to admit I was a little weirded out. I went into the store skeptical but I left it a total believer. I have a weird skin issue where my skin is oily and dry at the same time, but The Pure Water Facial Mist from The Face Shop saved me. You just spritz some onto your face either at home or on the road to moisturize and revitalize the skin. The smell and the cooling sensation really helps to wake you up during the day as well.

6. Sheet Masks

Every Korean cosmetic store has their own brand of sheet masks and they're all amazing. My favorites are from Nature Republic but seriously, they're all great. They have choices for all skin types and problems. They have moisturizing, brightening, tightening, hydrating, and on and on and on. They also come in a variety of substances from the typical Aloe or Honey to Mung Bean or Bee Venom. I haven't tried the Bee Venom one but let me know how it goes. Sounds hardcore.

7. Clean Face Mild Toner + Moisturizer

Acne is something every teenager has to go through. Except that my acne followed me from high school into college and that really wasn't cool. I started to give up hope on getting rid of those pesky red spots on my face until I found this toner and moisturizer set. It contains tea tree oil which is amazing for oil-prone skin that tends to break out a LOT. Unlike a lot of other acne specific solutions, this doesn't dry out my face at all. I feel clean and smooth after using this.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
