7 Useful Billionaire Habits You Can Adopt Too

There is a reason billionaires make as much money as they do, and it's not always because of the school they went to or the upbringing they had, but rather the habits and mindsets they share that gets them to billionaire status.

Here are seven habits to follow that could potentially lead you down the same path.

1. Be the early bird.

The early bird gets the worm is a powerful saying that I like most people just completely don't think too much into. Billionaires repeatedly share that getting in the habit of waking up early before the rest of the world is extremely important to their success. In the morning, you are generally more motivated to get work done, so when you wake up before most people, you are already that much ahead of them in getting your work done and can get more work done than others do.

2. Put mental and physical health first.

Having a strong fitness regimen, diet, and incorporating meditation into your plan is another huge contributor to a billionaire's success. When you eat well and take care of your body, you are making sure your stress is manageable and it keeps you feeling better throughout the day to complete more tasks and problem solve efficiently. Billionaires have the habit of being on top of their health in order to keep a clear mind and thriving bodily health to crush the day's agenda with ease. Eat right, drink water, exercise, and meditate so you can live longer and be successful longer.

3. Constantly learn more.

Whether you liked school or not, learning is far from over. In fact, billionaires make it a habit to always be learning something new that could possibly help them in whatever endeavor started. The most common way billionaires such as Bill Gates learns is through reading. Books offer an extreme wealth of knowledge on basically every subject imaginable. Try to read a nonfiction book a month that can help you in being successful. Bill Gates reads around 50 books a year. How many do you read? Exactly why he's a billionaire and you're not. Start reading then start reaping the rewards.

4. Keep an agenda.

If your goal is to be a billionaire, you are going to be quite busy in the process. And when you're busy, the habit of precise scheduling will come in handy to plan out that busy day. Billionaire Elon Musk takes this to the extreme by planning his days out in 5-minute increments. When you develop an ironclad schedule, then nothing can stop you. Because your day is so well planned, you can accomplish so much because you are in control of what you want and how long you want to do it each day. Carefully plan out your days to where you can get the most work done within that day.

5. Stay humble.

Billionaires don't flaunt their money like millionaires. Billionaires have the habit of keeping a humble mindset because they know that showing off doesn't help anything. Mark Zuckerberg drives a $30,000 car when he's worth billions of dollars. Why is this? Well, being humble makes you more likable, shows self-control, and can actually make you become more helpful to others. The benefits of being humble far outweigh the desire to show off and is a factor in why billionaires are they way they are. Stay humble and down to earth so you don't succumb to the seduction of money and let it control you.

6. Stay determined.

Get in the habit of being determined over everything else. When you are truly determined to a cause or idea, no one will stand in the way of your success. Failure won't stop you only show you what doesn't work. Elon Musk once said, "When something is important enough, you do it even if the odds are not in your favor." He was truly determined in getting SpaceX to launch rockets. In the beginning, there were a lot of setbacks and the launches would always fail, but he was determined to make it work, and it finally did. Determination leads to perseverance, and together, they create a recipe for success in whatever you do.

7. Prioritize what matters.

Billionaires don't watch TV or sit on social media for an hour a day. They are grinding and figuring out ways to be even more successful. Imagine taking all the time you waste in a day watching a show or partying and working on your success instead. You would be living quite a different life than you are now, I can guarantee you that. Get in the habit of prioritizing what matters so that you aren't wasting your time on something that ultimately isn't benefiting anyone. Spend your free time doing something that matters, because opportunities come and go, but that Netflix show will always be online.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
